Aussie Cabling are specialist ACMA registered cablers in Perth and we are the people to contact if you are in an NBN Fibre-To-The-Premises area in Perth and you are having issues having your NBN fibre installed or need an NBN lead-in conduit installed.

Internal NBN Fibre Pathway Conduit Installations

After signing up for an NBN Fibre-To-The-Premises (FTTP) plan, or opting for a 'FREE' NBN FTTP upgrade, the NBN Co installers will normally install their new external junction box (PCD) alongside or above your existing junction box, normally at the front side corner of your house. Then they will want to drill straight through your outside wall and install their internal equipment (NTD) on the inside of that wall, as this is the cheapest and quickest option for them and many often refuse to do anything else. For most people this would be unsightly and completely inconvenient. Just remember that you do not have to agree to this and you can send them away and contact Aussie Cabling.

In most situations we can install an NBN approved fibre pathway (conduit and draw string), so when the NBN Co contractors return, they can pull through their fibre cable to the location you want their internal equipment (NTD) installed, without any issue or conflict. Each job is unique, so we do an assessment of your property by viewing it online first and then advise you on what can and can't be done and the likely costs. If we can't do this assessment by viewing the property online, we can organise to conduct a site visit, if required.

External NBN Conduit Installations - New Builds

With any new NBN installation for a newly built house, NBN requires a conduit installed from the front of your property line, to the cable entry point at the side of your house. Normally, this is installed by the builder as part of the build. If for whatever reason, this conduit has not installed by the builder, then Aussie Cabling can assist.

Note: Connection of this conduit to the NBN pit and installation of the NBN cable to the house is done by NBN Co, after you register for a FTTP service with an NBN service provider. If you have any issues with having this done through your service provider, then you'll need to make an application to NBN CO for the connection and installation by completing the new development process.

Note: All new builds are required to have the internal fibre pathway (conduit and draw string) installed, as detailed above, before NBN Co installers will complete the installation.

External NBN Conduit Repairs

If you already have an NBN lead-in conduit and for whatever reason, it or the cabling inside becomes damaged or broken, Aussie Cabling can assist with repairs. Normally, this involves assessing the conduit and determining the approximate location where the conduit is damaged or broken and then digging up the conduit to repair it.
